My Story
G'day guys I'm Shotgun
I am an Australian designer who specializes in UI Design, product design, and user research. I got my start when I was just 12 years old, taking a look at my old Windows computer👨💻 and thinking "Hey this looks boring and is painful to use, This guy needs customization ". I grew up with YouTube and Deviantart, and mastering Photoshop when I was still a kid. Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, I have been drawn to design my whole life, finding in the field an outlet for my dual creative-analytical nature.
Although I was at first a graphic designer only 🎨, I eventually moved into multimedia creation and growth hacking, always pushing my boundaries outwards in search of human-centered solutions and better designs. I completed my undergrad work at the University of Central Lancshire before relocating to Australia in order to do postgrad work and got hands on experience on UX, design thinking, prototyping, user research, pervasive design, gamification and all (yep some Unis do have UX as a standalone unit for masters).
Annnnnnd... there has was heaps of "behind-the-scene stuffs", juggling between jobs as: a waiter🍽, barista☕️, Bottle-O guy🍾, cellar dude🧔, bartender🍸, Tradie👷🏽♂️ ... the list goes on and on. Fast forward to 2018 to now, I got opportunities to work with amazing teams in Brisbane, Sydney as well as United States.
I have played a pivotal role in multiple UX projects, and every day I am working to make people’s lives better by understanding their stories and doing what I can, to build the solution. My four best friends – my texter ✏️ (sharpie if you are not from Australia), my pad of sticky notes🗒, my Macbook 💻, and my journal 📒 – are always there with me, ready to get down to business.
